HOWDY PARTNER.
A couple of years ago our best friend and permanent third wheel fixture - Becky - went on a date with a film buff. During this enjoyable, but ultimately unsuccessful, date he spoke (at length) about his favourite film; an earnest, devastating, but ultimately quite sexy tale of a Belgian Bluegrass Band and their adventures.
Did we watch it? Yes. Did we love it? Yes. Did we listen to nothing but Bluegrass Music for months and buy a banjo? Also yes. And now, we’re basing the first night of our wedding on a man we will never meet; chance is indeed a fine thing, as is being incredibly impressionable.

But the story doesn’t begin or end there. Sean comes from a mightily musical family, with both of his parents attending the Royal College of Music. Sean and Nat are musical themselves; Sean is a drum maestro and, well, if Nat hasn’t locked you in a bathroom at an afters and forced you to harmonise with her, then you haven’t lived.
Ft. Seans Mum on the violin and Seans Dad on the guitar/banjo/Indian pan flute - along with some musical contributions from our wonderful friends, we'll be hosting a live Bluegrass-style open mic night. Think Von Trap family with Cowboy boots and Sangria. It’s a fever dream and we’re not apologising for it.
You bring the boots, we’ll bring the hay, and together we’ll embark on the greatest (and perhaps only) Spanish Bluegrass wedding opener to ever have occurred in this galaxy.
Until then, here’s a Haiku:
Bluegrass tunes we'll jam
Nat and Sean will say "I do"
Pool party will slap.
PS. This Haiku is terrible.
If you'd like to submit an alternative, please do so here;
P.P.S. The film is called Broken Circle Breakdown and we highly recommend you watch it!

You’re relaxed, you’re lubricated, you’ve got a tan and maybe a new friend or two. Its time for some aquatic-oriented fun.
There’ll be DJ's, games, paella and quite possibly a slip n’ slide.
